2 July - 3 July

A vehicle full of new guests meant we started on a clean sheet, but we quickly started ticking off the wish list as we hadn't even left camp and could see a massive herd of buffalo moving across the plains towards the pan and a herd of elephant on our driveway!
We sat and watched the two titans as they went along doing their business. After a while the elephants started to get edgy as the herd of buffalo was blocking the way of the elephants path, the elephants were clearly not happy as the trumpeted at the buffalo urging them along with a quicker pace.
We headed off after watching the buffalo drink water at the pan. On chitwa airstrip we found two hyenas moving along after they had finished the last of the zebra bones left by the Styx.
This morning we headed west to watch the Tsalala pride dozing off in the sun light at Serengeti pan, the one female (BB’s daughter) used one of the cubs as a pillow as she could barely keep her head up. After the lions we headed back, on our way a herd of elephants blocked our way and as we got past them a secretary bird made her appearance just south of the airstrip on safari.
Bush regards
