17 & 18 July

Yesterday we went back to the west to try and see if Tingana and Salayexe were still in the same spot as yesterday morning. On our way there we came across a small breeding herd of elephants. Bernhard stopped for a sundowner on Safari Airstrip and he could hear them mating close by. Soon after he found them not far off. We sat with them for a while before they moved of into the thickets. This morning started very good for us as we found a male Cheetah walking north from the lodge. He tried to catch an Impala but did not succeed. He was also scent marking as he moved further South. Bahuti the male leopard was found stalking some impala but also failed.
