10 - 11 July

Our afternoon started spectacular, with the breakaways in the west moving about scaring impalas as they go.
Soon after we found shadow on a termite mound staring with meaning into the bush. At first we thought she might be stalking some prey, but she soon stood up and bolted away.
A few seconds later Tingana appeared on top of the termite mound thinking he would surprise shadow.
Unfortunately for him the female leopard had no interest and had made a hasty retreat. He spent some time sniffing about where she had laid. Soon he lost interest and found a aardvark hole in which he showed a lot of interest, as he buried himself inside the hole to see what he could find. He walked away empty handed.
This morning we found some dagga boys on gowrie main, a few giraffe in the west but best of all wild dogs! We sat at their den site hoping to catch a glimpse of the pups.

Three females did keep us entertained while we waited but nothing yet, crossing fingers for this afternoon!
Bush regards
