21 - 22 June

Having new guests which have never been on safari gives ample opportunity to show and talk about the smaller things that is sometimes forgotten.
Yesterday afternoon we sat with some hippos at chitwa dam where a calf tried to defend its mother from the odd shaped thing watching them and a mere twenty meters away a crocodile was sun bathing on a small island, it seemed like a great idea as the cold of winter could be beaten by the hot rays of the sun later that night we spotted a small spotted Genet running across the road towards a tree where it gave us great opportunity to observe it.
This morning was a quiet one where elephants entertained us and we spent most of the morning driving is search of anything interesting.

Finally after a very long drive we spotted a wild dog! It seemed they have a den so hopefully we will see much more of them.

Bush regards
